Letter from the
Pastor!
Greetings in the
name of Jesus Christ our Lord! In the 1700's the Cherokee
Indians
called this area Creek Path. In the 1800's a coalition
of Christian denominations built
a facility that was a school and place of worship for the
Cherokee. The building
was called Creek Path Mission. The
charter members of this Church honored that history
and gave the name Creek Path Baptist Church.
Today, we honor that
history and seek to be a Church that sees "Christ For All"
(2 Corinthians 5:14-15). As a creek carries water to a larger
body of water we desire
to be used of the Lord to bring people to the river of life,
Jesus (Matthew 28: 18-20).
We also desire to be a Path to a deeper relationship with God
and His people
(Matthew 22:37-40). It is our hope that this
will lead us to greater acts of ministry
and service in the
world we live.
You are invited to
come be a part of something greater than religion; that is a
relationship with God and His people that results in salvation
and service
(2 Corinthians 5:16-21).
At Creek Path there are Bible study and service
opportunities
for people of all ages and all walks of life. Together we are
making
a difference! God Bless.
In Christ,
Bro. Rick Douglas
